On this page I would like you to create notes that cover the following points:

  • A definition of an atom
The definition of an atom is when there is the nucleus filled with either or both neutrons and protons and then there is a shell that surrounds the nucleus with 2 electrons on that shell and then on the next shell there will be no more than 8 electrons and then the shells repeat depending on the number of electrons
  • A definition of an ion
A ion is when a substance has all the shells on the atom filled up with the electrons
  • A description of what a Lithium atom does when it becomes an ion and why it does this
Lithium (Li+) will want to get an electron form another atom that is giving one away because Elements always want to become an "ion".
  • A description of what a Chlorine atom does when it becomes and ion and why it does this
it gains an electron so that is becomes even.
  • A copy of the ion table that Mr Clay gave you

Is this ^ ok ?
